FBC LaVergne



Come, join the fun at the Mud Volleyball tournament here at FBC on July 30th. Registration opens at 8:00AM. Worship begins at 9:00AM. Cost per person is $10. The games will be double elimination. All teams should have at least 2 females on the court during game time. We will provide outdoor bathrooms, showers and changing rooms. Concessions are also available.

Does Your Church Have A Website?

A few weeks ago a pastor in our association was pleased to see a visiting couple enter the sanctuary moments before the sermon began. He was a little surprised when the couple moved from their seats at the end of the service in response to the invitation. He was shocked by their request to join the church during their very first visit. Things began to make a little more sense later when he discovered that the couple had become well acquainted with the church via internet. For several months prior to their visit they had been logging on and listening to sermons via the church website. Thanks to a well designed and maintained website and a series of well preached sermons, this couple knew on their very first visit that Barfield Baptist was the church for them.

The two most neglected things in many Baptist Churches today are the church organ and the church website.  In today's world it is probably more important to hire a website designer than an organ player.  Yes, it grieves me somewhat to say that, but, that is just the way it is.

Pastors, it is time to take a look at your webpage. If you are still advertising last year's Christmas program, it is probably time to update your website. Believe it or not, most people will check you out on the internet before their first visit.







Midland Baptist Church

Midland Baptist Church provides a wonderful ministry to the people of Rutherford Co. through their Journey of Hope Ministry. The Concord Baptist Association was able to assist this missions project with a grant from the Missions Ministry Assistance Fund.

Summer Missions Travel Team

Need help this summer with VBS, Block Parties, Children’s Ministry, Youth Ministry, Camp, Bible studies, Worship services, special ministry projects & just about anything else you can think of??

 Summer Missions Travel Team information and online request forms are now available to make a request for ministry help this summer!

Simply go to www.tnyouthministry.com and click on “Request a Summer Travel Team.”

 Deadline for requests is Friday, April 8.

 The Travel Team assignments will be made by Friday, April 15

 Don’t miss out on getting your request in!

MMAF Post Project Report

There is an old saying that says "The job is not over until the paperwork is done."  If your Church received Missions Ministry Assistance Funds from the Association this spring,  please make sure that you submit your Post Project Report as soon as possible after the completion of your mission trip.
Failure to complete this final step may affect your Church's ability to receive future assistance.

If you need assistance in filling out these forms please contact the Association office.
The dates for submission have also changed. Requests must be submitted no later than April 1st or November 1st.
