Humanitarian Award Recipient
Rev. John Upchurch, Interim Pastor of Riverdale Baptist and Volunteer Chaplain Coordinator for Stonecrest Medical Center has received their first Humanitarian Award. This honor places Upchurch in the running for the companywide 2006 Humanitarian Award, the highest honor any volunteer can receive within HCA. "Servant means in every walk of life. Service, that's the only reason I'm here," Upchurch said. "To work in this hospital is a great experience. To grab somebody by the hand and say 'I love you' or 'I'm glad you're here,' is sometimes all people need." Several Pastors in our Association participate in the Volunteer Chaplain program at Stonecrest. |
