Associational Meeting
2009
Moderator Ron Byers observes as Rev. Shelby Smith leads us in
worship.
Rev. Smith is the Pastor of Walter Hill First Baptist and the host
pastor for the meeting.
Dr.Ross Maroney, Pastor of Stone's River Baptist was the keynote speaker
for the first session. Dr. Maroney, a Vietnam Veteran, shared the
experiences of his
recent return to Vietnam.
Food and Fellowship are always the highlight of Annual Meeting. This year we
were able
to enjoy the recently completed family life center of Walter Hill
First Baptist.
Our Director of Missions, David Pittman, reminded us that we are a network
of Churches and Missions.
Every Church is important.
Recently retired Associational Secretary, Brenda Hopper was honored
for her years of service.
She was awarded a plaque and the title of
Secretary Emeritus of the Concord Baptist Association.

The keynote speaker for the evening session was TBC Exec. Dir.
James Porch.
Dr. Porch reminded us that the TBC is primarily made up of small Baptist
Churches and
each one is unique. God does not make clones or carbon copies.
We were challenged to discover and celebrate our uniqueness within the
greater kingdom of God.
The 200th Annual Meeting of the Concord Baptist
Association
will be October 18th at First Baptist Murfreesboro.
